Art
Students learn about the various periods of art history, the prominent artists of those periods, and the masterpieces they created. They interpret what they have learned using a variety of mediums and processes – clay, tempera, watercolors, plaster cast, chalk, and wire are just some of the mediums they explore.
Each spring, samples of all children’s art is displayed in the annual art show where their interpreted works are arranged in time-line order. Samples may include, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Monet’s Water Lilies, and Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
